Like all markets, the Betfair market is susceptible to mispricing. Markets are volatile since the humans involved are themselves fickle and volatile creatures. Yet this opens up the first opportunity, the betfair value betting strategy. That is, by laying and backing events at prices which offer value, you can create positive expected value. That positive expected value turns into real profits over the long run.

The other path is through arbitraging or trading the market. Basically, arbers exploit the price differences between betfair odds and the odds offered by other bookmakers. In this way, you can lay and back on the same event to create a guaranteed profit. Betfair trading is possible within just the Betfair market, where you are exploiting price movements across time to create a guaranteed profit on an event.

Learn to Play Craps - Tips and Strategies: Dice-Tossing Styles

It’s interesting to note the variety of dice-tossing styles you’ll encounter over your craps-playing life. Some are plain and unexciting, weird and amusing, and others are blunt irritating. Ever really thought about it? How many ways can you reach down, pick up the dice, and wallow them to the other goal of the table? If you’ve played enough craps, you’ve seen it all.

The casino has strict rules for handling and tossing dice, which are the subject of an upcoming article. I’ll mention four of them so you’ll understand the basics. Handle the dice with only one hand. Never bring the dice outside the imaginary plane that extends up from the edge of the table (i.e., always keep the dice inside the table). Don’t toss the dice higher the height of the dealers. And smoothly toss the dice so they both hit the back wall (i.e., the wall at the other end of the table). If you follow these simple rules, you’ll do just fine.

Let’s start with the grip. Most people simply reach down, pick up the dice, and hold them in their palm or between their fingers. Not some people. Some believe their lucky grip will result in a winning number, while others believe they can control the outcome of their tosses so taking a precise grip is the first step in their wacky routines. For example, there’s the ice-tong grip, lock grip, 5-finger grip, 2-finger front diagonal grip, flying-V grip, stacked grip, 3-finger front grip, 3-finger front diagonal grip, 2-finger pincer grip, and many more. (Seriously, I’m not making this up!) And don’t forget, before taking one of those grips, they must properly position the dice with the precise alignment and orientation. For example, the 6 on one die must be oriented so the pips (i.e., the dots on a die are called “pips”) are parallel to the tabletop and the number must be adjacent to the 3 on the other die, and the pips on the 3 must be oriented so they go diagonally upward to the right. (Again, I’m not making this stuff up!) After they’ve achieved perfect alignment with the heavens and stars, they take their grip. But they don’t just pick up the dice, they must slowly and gently place their fingers on them and precisely measure the pressure applied to each die using the delicate pressure sensors in their fingertips. Finally, with the exact dice alignment and finger pressure, the shooter launches the dice toward the end of the table contorting their wrist, arm, shoulder, and torso. I’ve often wondered how some people don’t throw out their shoulders or keep from tearing the tendons that attach the muscles of the forearm to the arm bone at the elbow joint. These are the irritating shooters because they seemingly take forever. Everyone else at the table is anxious for the next roll, but these clowns who think they’re dice doctors or dice wizards (or whatever they call themselves) delay the game by taking their weird grips instead of just picking up the dice and tossing them.

Some people gently tap the tabletop before tossing. That’s okay as long as it’s just a tap. If you knock or bang the dice, the boxman will politely ask you to refrain. If you don’t heed his request, the next time he won’t be so polite. Personally, I’m a tapper. Also, I like to flash an empty hand just before picking up the dice. As I reach down for them, I quickly turn my palm up, flash open my fingers so the crew (and the camera) can see my hand is empty, grab the dice, and smoothly toss them. It’s an instantaneous, fluid motion just long enough for the crew to see my empty hand, but quick enough that most players don’t notice it and don’t realize what I’m doing. (I make the boxman’s and surveillance team’s jobs easier by showing an empty hand before touching the dice.)

Some people puff on the dice for luck. That’s okay, too, as long as you don’t use two hands, don’t bring the dice outside the imaginary plane, and don’t spit on the dice (accidentally or otherwise).

Some people throw the dice low and hard so they bounce all over the place after hitting the back wall. Avoid doing this because it increases the likelihood that a die will fly off the table causing the game to be delayed.

Some people toss them so weakly that they barely hit the back wall. Although you don’t want to throw them like a Major League pitcher, you should avoid feeble, pathetic tosses. Smoothly toss them so they bounce off the tabletop and then hit the back wall. If you’ve never tossed dice, you’ll get the hang of it after just a few throws.

So, what’s your technique? Whatever it is, be considerate of other players and the dealers. Don’t take forever finding your precise grip. Don’t throw them so hard they continually fly off the table. Don’t spit on them as part of your puffing routine. Don’t aim for the chip stacks at the other end of the table (chips fly everywhere and the dealers have to remember where they all go). Don’t hit the mirror on the side of table (casino dice are hard with sharp points and angles, so don’t break their mirror). A smooth toss so the dice gently hit the back wall and stay on the table is all you need.

Los Angeles Lakers Tickets - Finals Favorites

What is the one thing that could increase the purchasing of Los Angeles Lakers tickets? Bringing the championship back to L.A., that’s what. The Lakers had a prominent 2007-2008 pep up. They dominated the competition in the regular season, securing the copy one children in a stacked Western Discussion, and rolled through the conference in the playoffs. But when the Lakers got to the finals, it was a different geste. They appeared to be outhustled and pushed around by a more physical Boston Celtics troupe.

While the Lakers had sailed through the first three rounds of the playoffs, the Celtics had struggled and battled, needing seven games to take down the eighth-seeded Atlanta Hawks in the first round. But the Celtics prevailed in the finals and defeated the Lakers 4-2, completely blowing them out in game six. While I’m still convinced that leprechauns, a pot of gold and perhaps the makers of Guinness and Jameson had some role in the Celtics pulling off the victory, there is no denying that they outplayed the Lake Show. I do, however, still consider the Lakers the favorite to win the NBA Finals in the 2008-2009 campaign.

Kobe Bryant is still the best player in the league until either LeBron James or Chris Paul proves otherwise and I wouldn’t be surprised if Bryant won back-to-back MVP awards. He’s the most versatile scorer in the league and a seven-time All Defensive first teamer. He will probably end up being considered the second-best shooting guard to play the game behind His Airness. He’s one of the biggest attractions the league has and sells more Los Angeles Lakers tickets than any other player on the team.

Paul Gasol, though a little soft at times, is one of the more skilled big men in the NBA. His skill set is more like that of a perimeter player, giving him a devastating offensive attack on the block and from midrange. Plus, he’s an excellent passer, which is paramount in the triangle offense that Head Coach Phil Jackson employs.

Lamar Odom is another great passer and a great third option, but the primary reason I believe the Lakers are the favorite for the title is the return of center Andrew Bynum. Just 20-years-old, Bynum was looking like one of the best big men in the league last season before a knee injury derailed his season. He’s reportedly healthy and ready to go this season. Bynum will fill the void of a defensive presence and toughness in the middle that was exploited by the Boston bigs in the finals. Bynum’s return will also allow Gasol to slide back to his natural position at power forward, as he spent most of his time at the five in Bynum’s absence.

Basketball fans in southern California should get their Los Angeles Lakers tickets now, because it looks like it’s going to be a banner year for the club in 2008-2009.

Morgan C. Dunn wrote this article in association with StubHub. If you are looking for Los Angeles Lakers tickets, sports tickets, theatre tickets, concert tickets, or any other kinds of tickets, StubHub.com is one of the best places to find them.

What Is Therapeutic Sound?

Up to the minute science is only now beginning to grant what the ancient mystics and wise men have told us as a replacement for centuries; that the entirety (including you) is in a constant shape of vibration. The most elemental shape of vibration is that of sound. Everything has an optimum range of vibration, and that place is called resonance. When we are in resonance, we are in balance. One way to use sound to restore the body is to recognize that every instrument, and every cell, absorbs and emits sound, and has a itemized optimum resonate frequency. By exposing the body and knowledge to certain salutary echo frequencies, they will begin to “resonate” with those enquire of freuqencies, much equivalent to a drum that begins to fluctuate with the rythms encompassing it.

Emotions and mental states also have certain resonant frequencies; this is the secret behind the transformative power of spiritul music and song, spoken prayers and mantras. When exposed to a resonant frequency long enough, the body (and mind) will fall into sync; if you have ever been to a large rock concert or a rave, you will understand this. If you sing in a choir, or regularly meditate with mantras, you will intuitively understand this too, because you have experienced it. Therapeutic sound and sound therapy techniques are used to realign the “out of sync frequencies” you may be experiencing within you mind or body, by exposing you to the optimum sound frequencies for the changes you wish to make within yourself.

Super clever Rock artist Dion has released him most recent CD on the Dimensional Music Recordings recording identifier, entitled Bronx In Blue.

It’s a rare day indeed that I get a CD from an artist that I can truthfully say does not have a bad track in the bunch. I’m more than happy to announce that’s exactly what I must say about this one. There simply is NOT a bad one in the bunch. No fillers here at all, with each song standing tall on it’s own.

The nice thing about a CD like this is when the talent is this rich even if Rock isn’t your favorite style you still can’t help but appreciate the greatness of the artist.

I’m of the opinion that Bronx In Blue is certainly Dion’s best work in a few years. A totally enjoyable CD and an outstanding release. What I call must have music. I give it two thumbs up because it’s a collection that even the casual Rock fan can appreciate and enjoy.

Overall Bronx In Blue is excellent from beginning to end. One of those CDs that after a few listens the songs are just etched into your memory. A must have for the Rock fan. Really spectacular from beginning to end.

While this entire CD is really very good some of my favorites are track 2 - You’re The One, track 5 - Built For Comfort, and track 8 - You Better Watch yourself

My Bonus Pick, and the one that got Sore […as in “Stuck On REpeat”] is track 1 - Walkin’ Blues. Good stuff!
